Hugo Ludewig: Growing Communities Across platforms With Proactive Messaging
Host: Ethan Collins
Listen to this episode of the GCM podcast as we're joined by Kings Group's Senior Community Manager, Hugo Ludewig. Following his massive success with King of Avalon and Guns of Glory, we ask Hugo to share his experiences building and managing the ultimate Mod Squad, and growing communities across multiple platforms using proactive messaging.
Born and raised in France, Hugo had been engrossed with and passionate about video games since he became the proud owner of a SNES at a young age. After graduating with a master’s in international commerce, Hugo put the I in “international” by moving to Beijing, China to continue with his career. He found a job with Kings Group, an independent studio within Fun Plus a month after, and has been working with them since. He now resides back in France and telecommutes in.
At Fun Plus, he’s taken on an ambitious project of growing a moderator base of 700 moderators that now works across all Kings Group games. He’s also been able to build and maintain four Youtube channels, with two of them having more than 100k subscribers. (Youtube sends you a physical trophy when you reach that number, for those that didn’t know). He has since been entrusted by the studio to help them develop the game on certain aspects such as in-game skins, portraits and events.
